What the FUCK is going on...

There was also an incident with a former student at a high school in Las Vegas this morning!

All these school shootings....4 in 1 week alone! The country has gone stark raving mad!

CNN is saying that there are 6 confirmed deaths, and 3 girls that have been shot but are still alive at the moment - they say the shooter killed himself.

They're saying that on a typical day, there are 30 kids in the whole school house, so with 9 killed or injured that's almost 1/3 of them... wow.

jeez, this is getting really weird. thre hasd been several now in a close period of time

Wow, I just got out of class and turned on the TV, and saw this on CNN. How can someone go around killing children? I can't believe that all of these incident are happening literally one right after another. :(

Oh my god! I just saw that too on CNN. Lining them up and shooting them? My god, what is wrong with people?

Now the suspect is a 32 yr old who was some kind of milk deliverer who served the community. He took his kids to their school, and left notes (along the lines of suicide notes) at his house. His wife found them and tried to contact him, but he called her and didn't tell her anything. I think they said he was trying to take revenge for something that happened 20 years ago. They said 3 were dead (students) and 7 others wounded, some seriously.

CNN just made an interesting point. Perhaps the recent shootings sparked something in this shooter that triggered some anger from 20 years ago--that might explain why he kept the females and let the males go.

Shocking.. Absolutely Shocking.
Too true. No matter how many times it happens, we're all left dumbfounded and outraged - and yet it will happen again and again and again. How many innocent young kids have got to die before something is done. Once is unfortunate, twice is coincidence, but 3 and then a 4th time? As you said earlier 'What the Fuck???!!!'

And thus, the stupid American gunlaws and even stupider American psyche claims another several victims...

Very very sad indeed.

Are there still some supporters for the free detention of arms around ?

We'll never know the true motivation behind these sick people. I can only think that if we had tougher gun laws, some of this stuff wouldn't happen.

*quietly waits for someone to cower behind the 200 year old Constitution...again*
The Second Amendment clearly states that men have inalienable ao tapo ahihggh aoi

Sorry, I couldn't get that one out with a straight face.

I've never understood how the right to bear firearms takes precedent over the right to life. What's the old phrase, "fighting for peace is like screwing for virginity".

Of course, already it seems like it's his fault that he has grown up in a country where violence is more acceptable than an image of a dick, freedom and the pursuit of the American dream is becoming harder and harder for ordinary Americansto pursue, and he was able to get a gun and take it unchallenged into a school !!!

Everyone will say "It was nobody's fault but his!" - if we can hear them through the foot of sand they seem to have their heads shoved in!

I don't know why anyone is suprised by these type of incidents anymore. Another one is just around the corner and yet still nothing is done about it. If that is the type of freedom Americans are always piping on about then you can bloody well keep it.

The amendment states: A well regulated Militia, being necessary to the security of a free State, the right of the people to keep and bear Arms, shall not be infringed.

In United States v. Miller,4 the Court sustained a statute requiring registration under the National Firearms Act of sawed-off shotguns. After reciting the original provisions of the Constitution dealing with the militia, the Court observed that ''[w]ith obvious purpose to assure the continuation and render possible the effectiveness of such forces the declaration and guarantee of the Second Amendment were made. It must be interpreted with that end in view.''5 The significance of the militia, the Court continued, was that it was composed of ''civilians primarily, soldiers on occasion.'' It was upon this force that the States could rely for defense and securing of the laws, on a force that ''comprised all males physically capable of acting in concert for the common defense,'' who, ''when called for service . . . were expected to appear bearing arms supplied by themselves and of the kind in common use at the time.''6 Therefore, ''n the absence of any evidence tending to show that possession or use of a 'shotgun having a barrel of less than 18 inches in length' at this time has some reasonable relationship to the preservation or efficiency of a well- regulated militia, we cannot say that the Second Amendment guarantees the right to keep and bear such an instrument. Certainly it is not within judicial notice that this weapon is any part of the ordinary military equipment or that its use could contribute to the common defense.''7

Since this decision, Congress has placed greater limitations on the receipt, possession, and transportation of firearms,8 and proposals for national registration or prohibition of firearms altogether have been made.9 At what point regulation or prohibition of what classes of firearms would conflict with the Amendment, if at all, the Miller case does little more than cast a faint degree of illumination toward an answer.

If you read all of that... the amendment was written at a time WELL BEFORE we had the most powerful and well-equipped military organizations in the world. They expected 'us' (ordinary citizens) to do the fighting from our homes.

Now, I have a better chance of marrying Colin Farrel at a White House ceremony than the chances of the United States being invaded en masse--forcing me to fight from/for my home.

While I will certainly support someone's wish to own/bear arms, it is past absolutely fucking time that the government pull its proverbial head out of its ass on this. Sell all the guns you want, but regulate the fuck out of them. Tax them to death to pay for new agency to track purchases/licenses and TRAINING (and continuing education/training) for gun owners.

I don't want some Dirty Harry-wannabe-Mary-Jane rotten-crotch with a Barney-badass attitude 'protecting' me from whatever crime! I'd probably end up getting shot because they don't know what the bloody hell they're doin! But 'they' feel safer because 'they' have a gun? Please. My life will always be more important than their 'safe' 'feeling'.

And what are we telling our children with this inaction? "Sorry you might get shot at school today Timmy, but Bobby is just exercising his 2nd amendment rights"--Fuck that.

Oh please.

Amish people are taught not to use guns in violent ways, he went NUTTY and did a horrible thing. If he wanted to have a gun he would have one regardless of any law.
