  • Hi Guest - Did you know?
Hot Topics is a Safe for Work (SFW) forum.

What time do you eat for holiday get togethers?

That's only really Christmas Day. We generally eat at around 2 o'clock to ensure we're finished in time to watch The Queen (now King) on TV at 3 o'clock.

It's lunch at 1-2pm. Dinner is 7-8pm :ROFLMAO: :ROFLMAO:

From what I hear/read, 1-2pm is when these feasts begin --- they belly up to the trough to be sociable then continue to graze well into the evening hours until the leftovers are divided up for guests to savagely devour in the privacy of their own homes.

1-2 pm exactly...and then it becomes Lupper.

Being unlovable, I never get invitations to such events.

When I was young, however, it seemed like every gathering had dinner at the regular evening dinner time. I remember being surprised when I first heard of having Thanksgiving Dinner in the afternoon.

Holiday dinners are usually after 12:00 noon, sometimes 1:00 or as late as 2:00 PM. Dinner is the main meal of the day, Monday through Saturday it is supper at 6:00 PM and on Sunday and holidays it is lunch at 12:00 to 2:00 PM. Supper on Sundays is usually left-overs or pizza.

What do they do? Just talk to the people?
