  • Hi Guest - Did you know?
Hot Topics is a Safe for Work (SFW) forum.

What turns you off in a man?

Men who write things that turn them off in other men in what turns you off in a man threads.

Those who play the role of the eternal victim

Heterosexuality, Douche-baggery, also closeted men. Especially married ones, as said above.

Also, a lack of hygiene, a lack of manners, obnoxiousness, simple-mindedness, opinionated yet uninformed, ego-driven/insecure men with something to prove, self-destructive or those who have trouble controlling their more dangerous/unethical impulses, deceit, phoniness, controlling, bad teeth, bad breath, bad job, open-books (I find them boring), ugliness, etc.

Can't think of many more. Wait, on second thought, also: pushovers/doormats, and passive-aggressiveness.

There, now I'm done.

Turn offs?

Lack of basic hygiene
No sense of humor - about himself and others
Overly sensitive/Overly PC
No character
No ambition/goals
No manners - what is wrong with being a gentleman???
Liars - encompassing cheaters in here too
Needy/Clingy
Use of the words "anyways" or "supposably" (phonetic spelling on the last one)
Provincial types - meaning, you can live here in NYC yet have no interest or desire to leave your little neighborhood other than to go to work - come on!

Now if you asked "what's a red flag for you with a guy?" that would be a whole other list! ;)

I said SINGLE men lol.

The irony of my post is that, I too am single.

Ok I dumped my boyfriend, he was a bit insane.

So... I guess what turns me off is insanity.

I don't know if that's picky (maybe it is) but I honestly don't think it is too much to ask that someone see a psychiatrist twice a month.

Kidding about that last part.

Define sanity then? lmao

My turnoffs are...

- conspicuous and/or excessive tattoos

- too fat or too thin (I guess weight/height appropriate)

- whiney/bitchy/tenacious

Long hair...

Clingy, overly talkative, right wing, too negative, too positive, quick to judge, quick to anger, irrational, selfish/doesn't think of others, without honour or courage.

Those are the big ones...

Lately it's been trust. Trust is a biggie for me.

What is a turn off in a woman?

- Bad breath.

- Yapping all the time and talking about girly stuff like fashion, gossip, their hair, etc. Annoying as fuck. Guys only put up with it because they want to get laid.

- The constant bitching and whining ad nauseum.

- Women who want to prove that they are not the weak gender and develop a nasty, aggressive, competitive attitude that makes them unattractive because, if I wanted a man, I would get one.

Basically, I am attracted to women's bodies and want to have sex with them, but I find them unbearable as people.

*Phew*. Lucky for me, I'm attracted to men's bodies and want to have sex with them, and find them delicious as people. ..|

Broad, sweeping generalizations are a huge turn-off for me...

I hate assholes. I can't stand a guy who can be a major prick, or believes he's God's gift to mankind.
I like nice guys. I like guys who are kinda geeky, guys who are a little mis-understood, and kinda lonely. I like the idea of pulling a nice guy out of the gutter and making him feel special. I just hate seeing nice guys getting pushed around.

YOU WOULD LOVE ME!
