What useful thing did you do today?

I called my family and relative giving them (Chinese) new year's wishes....
 
I got my MASSIVE data-gathering project finished! Something that I've been doing twice a year but, starting this year, only ONCE per year. The result will be a huge catalog.

Probably about 145 or 150 hours of work in the past 12 days!!! It doesn't get much more rigorous than that.

The result is that I'm about five weeks behind schedule, but it will STILL work. The only big drawback is that some of my customers are getting worried about me...

Hopefully, as of right now, I've successfully moved my business cycles around in ways that will prevent such debilitating deadlines from happening again! If I was still working under the "old way" my chances to even consider going to San Antonio or Las Vegas would be out the window, because the old arrangement had little tolerance of me being missing deadlines.
 
went to a 2 hour class on using Numbers on a mac. Same as Excel on a PC
 
I ate a light lunch and a light supper
 
I just got my 168-page manuscript FedEx'ed off to the guy who prints my catalogs, today.

That is 168 pages, single spaced, with almost no margins whatsoever, using"Arial Rounded MT Bold" 10-point font. One hell of a lot of text.
 
I got an oil change in my car (a tad overdue), a new haircut, ate lunch at KFC (it sucked...but I'm duty-bound to ingest my weekly ration of cooking grease)...and managed to do a 4-hour photoshoot in the studio.

All in all - a useful and productive day. (!)
