Yeah, I know this sort of thread could go to some other subforum, but HT is there to keep it hot or, at least, more easily retrievable

Merv Griffin, A Life In The Closet by Darwin Porter.

What Went Wrong?: The Clash Between Islam and Modernity in the Middle East

Bernard Lewis

Last book I bought was a used copy of Gay New York.

Mister White: A Dark Thriller by John C. Foster
Cheaper by the Dozen by Frank Bunker Gilbreth, Jr. & Ernestine Gilbreth Carey
Show Yourself To Me: Queer Kink Erotica by Xan West

I rarely buy/read only one book at a time, one just isn't enough.

Show Yourself To Me: Queer Kink Erotica by Xan West - tho that one was just rebought, couldn't find the other copy, I think it might've been on a different device.

I bought a cookbook for kids from the 80's that my brother and I had for his kids. I thought they would like it. It was a fun book and it got me into cooking.

A 3 volume box set of the Captain Horatio Hornblower series by CS Forester from 1939

Oh, I'll post about them in some other subforum as I have for years. Probably even mention what they're about, and perhaps if I cared for them.

Belly is so good about bumping HT threads he might even destroy that venerable old thing and make an HT book thread genuinely retrievable.

Suffice for now to say that they're both American novels.

The last book I read was The Sound and the Fury by William Faulkner.

All the voices in As I Lay Dying have been lingering in my imagination so pleasurably since I read it last summer that more Faulkner is definitely in my queue.

JUst keeping peace in separate territories

A Day in the Life of Marlon Bundo last book bought (for my nephew).

I am currently reading 'Moriarty' by Horowitz.

I pre-ordered Adjustment Day by Chuck Palahniuk

I obviously haven't read it yet since it doesn't come out until May 1st.

Although I believe the author has a strange mind -- I usually like his books!

Thangs I've said, but probably shouldn't have ..Bruce Dern with Christopher Fryer and Robert Crane.... An Unrepentant Menoir
