When I was in my early 20's my mom worked at a bank. For their Christmas Club they were giving away a "Christmas Cub". He was a white stuffed bear dressed in a Santa hat and a red vest. When I saw it I said to her that I would like one, she said "your too old". On Christmas morning I opened a package, and there was that little white bear. And for the last 20+ years he's been under my Christmas tree.:santa:

My first GameBoy Color. I got a Mario game (can't remember which one) and Pokemon: Silver version. It was my first Pokemon game and I loved it.

You have the best mom ever!

The one gift I remember, and I am old, was a Hopalong Cassidy wristwatch. He was a cowboy of a lot of fame in radio and B movies before having the first western on tv. Merchandising followed with the first character lunchbox, etc. Wish I still had the watch.

It actually wasn't one I received but rather one I gave. My uncle died about 7 months before Christmas of 2005 and, because my grandfather's last communication with him ever had been a terrible argument, he was still unable to cope with the loss of his son even the least bit. For Christmas I used my graphic design skills and restored a very old picture of my uncle and blended it with photos of my mom and aunt (his sisters) and made a beautiful portrait out of it. It was a huge surprise for him and one that did a lot to help him let go of the guilt he had felt. We both cried a lot, which is unusual because neither of us cries often at all. It was a really special moment and one that I'll never forget.

I thought the orange HotWheels track was really something special, until a few months later when one of the sections became a makeshift "switch" used to blister my bare legs for setting fire to the bathroom (a whole other story).

I was going to say my laptop, but then I have to say it was my art kit thingy. It had colored pencils, oil pastels, paint and other stuff, I think. I used it a lot, and absolutely loved it. The year after that I got these markers that changed colors

I was 11, and I woke up Christmas morning to my first guitar under the tree. I'll never forget that moment. Mom snapped my picture just as I entered the living room. My eyes were as big as silver dollars and my mouth was wide open.

My favorite Christmas memory was 3 years ago when I helped my Dad give my Mom a brand new car. My Mom's car was getting older and the mileage was creeping up on it. She wanted a newer one and deserved it. My Dad is kind of a tight wad so I started working on him in August suggesting that he buy my Mom a car for Christmas. He finally caved in November and I did all the leg work and the negotiating.

It was a minor miracle because I honestly don't know how I convinced him but I ended up convincing him to not only buy her a brand new car but to buy her the upscale model with the potent V6 engine. After I did all the negotiating, I had him meet me at the dealer and close the deal. I picked up the car a week before Christmas and stored it in my garage. I was so excited and could hardly wait to surprise my Mom who I love dearly.

Christmas Day came and I drove it to my parents' house and parked it in the drive with a big white bow on it. All of my family was there and we did all the Christmas present opening and the big Christmas dinner while her car sat in the drive waiting to be discovered.

When everything had been opened and the chaos had died down a bit, my Dad brought a small wrapped box to my Mom and said he found a package that had been overlooked. She unsuspectingly opened the box thinking it was a piece of jewelry. She saw the key and was overwhelmed with joy. She burst into tears and we had to physically help her go outside to see her new car because she was so overcome with emotion.

To be able to have helped in giving her such a wonderful surprise was priceless. My sister-in-law videoed the whole thing and I still will watch it once in a while. Brings a smile to my face and puts a warmth in my heart every time I relive my Mom's happiness. It's been 3 years and she still loves her car. I keep it maintained for her and wash it for her every now and then. Merry Christmas everyone.

That was a great thing to do for your grandfather (*8*)

Super NES. My sister and I played it for hours and hours after we got it.

Probably when my best friend got me a season of I Love Lucy. I totally wasn't expecting it...and she knows it's one of my all-time favorite television shows.

i LOVE "I Love Lucy"! It's also one of my favorite TV shows. I own all of the seasons! You know, though it is at least like 60 years old, it never gets old. I laugh everytime i watch that show, no matter how many times ive seen the episode! Nothing like a little lucy to cheer you up :)

A set of homemade building blocks that my father made for me when I was 4 years old. They came in a small, wooden box, also homemade.

It was marked 'from Santa'.

It was the only toy I got that year.

when i was like 5 my parents+grandparents got us a commodore 64. i just used it for video games and it was the best thing ever

awww...that's so sweet.

'from santa'. :D

It was a really bad year for Santa and our family. Money was scarce. There were 8 of us in the family that year and Mom was pregnant with my younger sister.

One of life's lessons, and a very memorable one.

Christmas 1970; I was ten years old; my dad gave me a pair of Diamond Doves for my aviary. :D
