I use The Weather Channel app, but I don't like the new design they have. They made it harder to get info I want. Do re recommend one?

I generally use the BBC weather site. My phone has AccuWeather on it, so I suppose I use that too.

The apps are useless
I prefer the Weatheronline site. I use it a great deal
They give full coverage to all aspects of the weather.
The Met Office is about to have its site upgraded. I’ve tried their beta site, but don’t like the look of it. Too dumbed down.
The BBC is a waste of space with being so dumbed down. All presentation and no substance.
I hate apps and avoid them if I possibly can.

I try not to use apps. My phone mentioned something about becoming codependent, and I took his word to heart. He's ok with being "used" for calls and communicating, but we've agreed to limit it to that.

Weather Underground

I use the free apps from my local TV stations!
I have The WROC Channel 8 weather app, which is my local CBS affiliate.
I also have the app from WHAM Channel 13, which is my local ABC affiliate.

I use The Weather Network website with Peterborough as the focus. I get all of the weather information I need from it. It's quite accurate an dependable and it updates a new forecast quite regularly. It also gives a 7- and 14-day forecast and even hourly forecasts as well.

No cell phone, so no apps.

I just look at the sky tbh.

weather.gov

Direct from NOAA.

No app. Just the interweb thingie. It gives a pretty accurate forecast within 2 miles of any point in the US.

They do have the longest weather forecasting history, it's our tax dollars at work. :D

The Weather Channel app isn't really in business to provide you weather updates

The complaint contends that "for years, TWC has deceptively used its Weather Channel APP to amass its users' private, personal geolocation data -- tracking minute details about its users' locations throughout the day and night, all the while leading users to believe that their data will only be used to provide them with 'personalized local weather data, alerts and forecasts.'

"TWC has then profited from that data, using it and monetizing it for purposes entirely unrelated to weather or the Weather Channel App. In fact, unbeknownst to its users, TWC's core business is amassing and profiting from user location data."

My favorite FREE app was:
http://1weatherapp.com/

But my favorite paid app for $3 per year is:
https://darksky.net/app
It has two widgets that I like. One is a graph on your screen that tells you what the next hour will be like broken down into 10 minute segments such as start raining in 20 minutes very heavy, then medium rain for 10 minutes and light rain for the next 20 minutes. (Gives the same for snow). The forecast is based on your phones GPS location and not some airport location or the center of town. You can have the app send a notification to you phone 10 minutes before precipitation starts.

The other optional widget is what the weather will be like for the next 24 hours in graph form, always displayed on your screen, no need to open the full app.
