What will you be for Halloween?!

I'm sure someone started a similar thread but three pages in and I couldn't find it so I started my own.

That said, I always go as some gay archetype. This year I'll be "Gymbro Realness White Party."

I'm not entirely sure I can pull it off. I was supposed to be a bit more muscular by now and I AM 44 so we'll see. However, if there's any time when one can look goofy, it's Halloween.

Halloween is so much fun. I've been Xena: Warrior Princess to the last few parties and the costume has been a hit.

I'm going to dress up as a 63-year-old man. No problem finding a costume for that. Everything I own will work just fine.

Way too tired to party . Me thinks I will have dinner (probably alone because I am not feeling much like socializing or entertaining dinner guests) at a nice upscale restaurant.

Then maybe a movie if there are any good ones.

I am very tired this week. Just too many variables and daggers being thrown at me .

Not dressing up this year on Halloween. I dressed up for a party last Saturday though. My nephew will dressing up and I plan on accompanying him when he trick-or-treats.

I am wearing a nametag from an employer other than my own but the same dress code (I can wear anything as long it is black). That's as much energy as I can muster.

I hope to get off of work early enough to go out to dinner with The Partner, we aren't answering the door this year. Last year we had three little kids and a raft full of 18-20 year olds who are old enough to buy their own candy. About 10 PM I'm taking my beer mug across the street to a neighbor who's into home brewing and getting a freebie.

We don't traditionally do Halloween here in the 3rd World. Trick or treating doesn't exist apart from on certain streets in gated communities where they will have decided at one of the meetings of the Board of Trustees to do it en masse so everyone is on board.

But for the first time ever, I am doing Halloween. I'm heading upcountry to play a gig with a mate, and him and his missus have been invited to one on Friday night and I've been instructed to bring a costume. They're all medical doctors, and I'm a scientist, so I'm doing Mad Scientist - Einstein wig, soot-blackened face, large splotches of exploded reactions all over my lab coat.

Plan B was to go as a medical doctor, to make a point, but I figured the irony would be lost on them. Plan C was Ledger's take on The Joker. A cracking good time will be had by all, hopefully. I intend to get inappropriately drunk for my age.
