On the other hand, exonerating all wanderers and vagabonds from volition or accountability masks the real issue with many and enrobes the virtue of victimhood on many who are not victims at all, only foolish or wild.

We live in an era in which it is perfectly fine to refer to the vices of greed or hate, but not to sloth or indolence or thieving. Social sins are social sins, and picking and choosing which ones are or are not to be uttered is becoming a tug-of-war from two sides of society.

Can't say anything good about the Presiden-Elect, but then again, he revels in being obnoxious and crass. But, sexual assault isn't rape, to your point, except in very specific conditions.

The whole hysteria about underage sex is downright Victorian. Agency isn't automatice at, before, or after a certain birthday, regardless of what the law attempts to establish. Thankfully, many judges understand that and sentence accordingly.

Teens are, and always have been, sexual adventurers. Trying to chastitize and idolize "innocence" and drag it to age 18 is a misguided sanctioning of prudishness. Add to that the hyper-romanticized notion that sex is only between age peers in love adds a mythical aspect to sex that only serves to cause delusions and conflict.

Are there actual sexual predators at work? Certainly. But there are also tons of sexual "victims" who have agency and just because they have regret later doesn't make them a wronged party.

Unfortunately, the exaggeration of childhood to extend to 18 has caused the misapplication of "pedophile" when the sexual attraction to pre-pubescent children is not present in any way.

There are no other varieties except in the imaginations of white supremacists who think they're oppressed by Marvel race-swapping and DEI. In fact, most "reverse racism" theory is parallel to the Ku Klux Klan philosophy that addressing racism is, itself, racism against whites. It's amazing how often "non-racist" people's ideals are congruent with violent racist domestic terrorism philosophy: blacks are a social burden, they burnt whole cities down, lazy, victim mentality, most of all, can only be dealt with using extreme and often deadly force).

I'd love to be proven wrong and see video of SYSTEMIC, STATE-SANCTIONED racist violence against white men, the equivalent of 5 cops taking turns beating Tyre Nichols to death, or Botham Jean being shot dead in his own apartment, or Xavier Thomas, or Sandra Bland, or..... (George Floyd excluded so the "HE WAS ON FENT!" weirdos don't emerge from their caves to burden us with their existences).
