There was one piece left. The gathering was only about 20 or so men, but there were cookies and two cakes, so pie wasn't the only choice.

I rarely make pecan pie outside winter, but this potluck is notorious for store-bought cookies, so I make a quick pie to offer a choice.
 
In the "Bacon..." post elsewhere, I mentioned I'd be making grilled cheese & bacon sandwiches. That's today's menu. The dessert will be choice of Friendly's chocolate chip ice cream or dollar-store vanilla creme cookies. Or both.
 
Cottage cheese on fresh lettuces drizzled with a really nice extra virgin olive oil and sprinkled with homemade croutons.
 
I had a hot pocket for lunch
 
Today I had time for a corn dog and a small bag of fritos. :D
 
We had these huge veggie burgers on Kaiser rolls with cheese and lettuce and tomato. I'm stufffffffdead :dead:
 
I had Thai shrimp with rice and black beans
 
Grilled cheese sandwich with broccoli and radishes on the side.
 
We were too busy yesterday to shop or think about today's lunch, so we ordered Chinese take out for lunch today and had pizza and salad for supper.
