What's going on with Hillary?

Sure, I remember all that background noise from nasty divisive Republicans. You think it's the Clinton's fault Republicans were that way? You think Republicans will be nice and easy go-alongs with the more liberal Obama? If so, on what evidence do you base such a conclusion?

Maybe you're right Nick and the right will attack Obama as they relentlessly did the Clintons but with a black man in the White House they will have to be more delicate in their attacks or the odor of racism may be detected.

I will concede that should Obama run against McCain the experience issue could come back to haunt the dems. But I don't see it as being a problem against any of the other republican candidates.

I know what's up. You can fin out whats up with Hill in this documentary:

I agree that Hill front loaded a bit. Besides Hill, this has been the most front-loaded PUSA race that I have seen in my lifetime. Debates started many, many months before primaries were slated to begin.

Hill did what most of us would do -- view the straw polls and react accordingly. Unfortunately, that may have cost her.

I heard Hillary is going to go negative AFTER NH -- What about today in an odd way? She's been crying (emoting in my book) and is looking a bit crazed. Is that true or because I've lost so much respect for her? She's sounding battier than a bitsy bug, if you ask me.

Remember the Dean scream, they will be talkin about the Hillary emotional breakdown.

True... there were tears today. And, I have heard the same about going negative.

IMHO, if she is gonna prevail, she needs to go positive and stand up. Like she did when slick Willy was bad.

She needs to stay positive and focus now more than ever before.

Hillary … is looking a bit crazed.

I don’t think any of us can truly appreciate how grueling this campaign schedule has been for ALL the candidates.

Much-praised speaker Barack Obama was funny while stumping in Manchester, New Hampshire, this morning: "I've been campaigning a lot," he said. "And you know I say, 'The time for change has come.' The other day I said, 'The time for come has changed.' And I have to admit, everybody still clapped." [Link]

The above episode of word-jumble was reported on WSJ’s website earlier today in a much less humorous context ... For some strange reason, I can’t seem to find it there anymore. #-o

she's baaaaaaaaaaack

i think her "that hurts my feelings" moment in the debate was pretty good

she's not a monster

she's not a machine

she has feelings

LOL

i hope she can stay real

With 25% of the vote to yet come in
A 3% victory is a W. But hardly what would be called a "WIN"

I would say she slid by with the aid of tears !

it's the new secret weapon

polling said NH voters (many) made up their mind pre-Iowa

I like that

Hillary Clinton deserves congrats in edging out Barack Obama. It is important not to let the daily fluctuations of polls and who supposedly has momentum determine how elections are covered.Once Hilary was supposed to easily achieve a coronation...then Obama was going to ride the inevitable wave away from Hillary.Neither happened, but now we have something good,a real contest from tonight's New Hampshire results.Hillary can point to women and over 40 strong backing, while Obama can take heart in his very strong appeal to independents and the younger vote.Let the primary season unfold and let the candidates earn their nominastion, not have the talking heads determine who is in or out.

Agreed. Obama needs to be more battle tested if he is to be viable in November, which will be a real battle not like his Illinois senate victory. Ditto with Hillary, if she is the eventual nominee she will be a lot stronger if it looks like she earned it in a tough race rather than bought it with her husband's connections and contributors. It should be an interesting few weeks.
