Thank you for your post. They are not well known in the States, if even known at all. Regrettably I had never heard of them. Some of the chair designs are brilliant.

And also partial to bow ties.

I think there must be similar terms in many parts of the world. In the west of England, tourists are referred to as "grockles".

I didn't realize that Annecy is now in England.....and that there are so many mass knife attacks against children.

There are mercifully few mass knife attacks in England. I can't remember the last one. There are pretty regular one-on-one stabbings, mainly involving teenage boys, many are apparently inner-city gang-related.
