Any thoughts?

I want to try to visit Cedar Springs/Oak Lawn in Dallas sometime this weekend.

Any nice places or fun things to do or see?

I've heard about Round Up Saloon........is that a good place?

I want to meet a hunky cowboy!! :D

:gogirl:

Try Craigslist. You have better luck there than here.

Oak Lawn sounds like a Cemetery.

Cedar Springs is the street where several of the bars and gay businesses are located. The neighborhood is called Oak Lawn.

Are you looking for general things to do in Dallas or are you looking for gay things to do in Dallas (or both)?

JRs Bar and Grill is good. Station 4 is the big dance club. Round Up is good if you like pretend cowboys and men in western wear. There are dozens of shops and restaurants in around the crossroads. So there is stuff to do during the day.

Round-Up is a country western bar but on Friday and Saturday nights it's a very mixed diverse crowd. S4 is the "go-to" dance club, but I pretty much avoid it...it's younger an attracts a different type of crowd. JR's is a fun bar, but currently only the upstairs is open because they are going through a major renovation. Outside of the club, Cyclone Annaya's Mexican Kitchen is good for Friday night dinner/Sunday Brunch (people watching).

Maybe better luck there. Doubt going anyway

Why. Whatever could you mean?

Don't you remember the trip last fall to Chicago?

And the recent trip to India?

I didn't end up making a trip to India last year...........it didn't work out.

I did go to Chicago........it was nice to visit. But I don't like cold weather.

What or where is the crossroads?

I want to soak in the local color....

Crossroads is the name for the area on Cedar Springs Road where many of the bars and gay-oriented businesses are located. I think it specifically refers to the intersection of Cedar Springs and Throckmorton where Caven Enterprises owned several bars.

"Color" is generally not a word oft used to describe Dallas.
