Having sex with a woman and having sex with a man is COMPLETELY different. It's kind of indescribable but I'll try. Oh, I believe you're mistaken. I have had AMAZING sex with men (last night I had sex with my dad's best friend, my "god father", after lusting after him for 4 years and it was the best sex I've ever had). When I said animalistic I didn't just mean it's only physical and quasi-mental but it's also powerful and "dirty" for lack of a better word than animalistic (I don't mean like weird fetishes, I just don't have a better word. I really like that theory, but I have to admit that it's fundamentally flawed; i've spoken to a very large number of gay men who're into submissive/dominant sex. Young men seem to get off on being taken advantage of by older men, tops love dominating bottoms, etc etc.
