What's The Age Difference

I recently started seeing someone that is five years younger than me. My sister is seeing someone ten years younger. My grandfather was 13 years older than my nana. I'm just wondering:

What's the age difference between you and your boyfriend/husband/significant other?

My ex was my age, and this guy that I have been falling head over heels is, coincidentally, my age too (but sadly, it's just gone sour - we've never been "an item")! There has been no one in between.

As a general rule, I try not to go much more than 10 years on either side of my age. If for no other reason, beyond that we don't have a lot in common. But there have been exceptions. It really depends on the person and how I feel about them and vice versa. I haven't had much success with guys my own age. Not sure why but most of my relationships have been younger or older than me.

He's just over two years older than I am. That may have been an issue in high school, but by the time we hit 25 or so, the difference was all but negligible.

My husband is nearly 18 years older than me. Most of my exes were within about 5 years of my age, though.

I'm about 5 1/2 years older than him...although, he still looks like he's 21 :D

Bf is 31, I am 62........we are so similar it is very scary! Age plays no part in our relationship!

A friend's brother always seems to date girls around 17 years of age. It gets creepier and creepier the closer he gets to 30...

Well I have no boyfriend am still single but I do have a expected age range on who I will date am 20 and I want to keep it between age 20 to 40 I only want a guy thats in that age range unless I meet someone passed 40 that just blows me away then I will make a exception but other then that I will stick to my rule board LOL;)

my first relationship I was 72 hours younger than her, and the guy I'm after at the moment is 3 years older than me.

He's 27 years older than me, still really hot for his age, and we get along just great!

My last boyfriend was several years older than me.

My current boyfriend is 30 years younger.

He's 44 and I'm 42

47 years older than me

WTF?!! Now that's bizarre in my book. My bf is 27 and I'm 34. But I can feel the age difference. I was an entertainment junkie growing up so he doesn't know 80's movies or music. He was born in 1980 and I remember the 70's. I always dated my age or older but I met him at 30 and he was 22 and there was something about him. I just knew he was it. I had to throw away my "list" of what I wanted in a man. But I would never go younger again. It's worked out great but I do love me some older mens. lol. Does anyone else feel the age difference? I so don't believe age is just a number.

It really boils down to the 2 people involved and their age at the time, they are getting together.

If you are 18 and are dating a dude of 28, he might be 'too old' in your eyes.

If you are 40 and are dating a 50 year old guy, your prospective changes and the age difference is a matter of lesser importance for most people in that age.

My partner is almost 17 years my junior. I'd say, a match made in heaven. He was always looking for older dudes and I was always looking for the younger ones.

He is contributing the freshness and the enthusiasm of his youth and I am bringing in the experience and stability. It works for us. It works for some other folks, too. But it'll never work for everybody.
