Saints be praised, I found a two for one deal on these fabulous black cotton jeans that actually fit right ! (Waist size perfect, not too clingy in the ass, but not baggy either, straight legs that taper just right....)

The problem is they are BLACK. I mean, *really* black. Johnny Cash black, Robert Smith on a bad day black...

So, I wanna give them a sort of lighter, "distressed look" I'm tempted to fill the washer with water then add some Clorox, but that might turn them gray, and that's not what I want... I just want a few distressed lines of lighter color, you know ? So they don't look like something I should be buried in....

Any suggestions ?

Wear them for 10 years.

Here's a couple of ideas:

Remember stone-washed jeans from the 80s? Put them in the washer with 25 pounds of sharp rocks. Then you'll have stone-ground jeans. :D

Remember acid-washed jeans from the 80s? If the rocks didn't work, use some sulfuric acid. It'll either be great or the worst acid trip ever. :D

I dunno, I kind of like the Robert Smith look ... he had Goth sensibilities before Goth was a trend... ..|

Okay, i own glasses but usually i don't need them unless I want to stop myself from getting eyestrain after a long day of reading.

Anyway, it must be too early or something, because I read that as "What's the best way to get black jews to Pride?"

Hmmmm...
