I find it odd some don't even want to say what part of the world they are in. Maybe we have members in North Korea???? Or Uganda? Or some place they can get killed for being gay?

But in the US????? That's just odd.


Revealing your street address isn't the issue. That level of detail should be left out of course unless in private off site contact.

Any one have views on this?
 
I don't know. Perhaps some people have had a bad experience with giving out their location over the Internet.

It's their business and it's up to them to decide.
 
I'm just not comfortable in putting that out there.

(I've had various accounts here, and I've put my location out there before).

I guess I can't really explain why I don't want that information out there, I'm just not comfortable with it.

With that said, my profile does list which state I am in, just not the specific city.
 
Same reason as you don't want to reveal your face pics i suppose.

Because I don't have to, and the likelihood of meeting any of you in person that's not already on my facebook is slim to none at best, especially since we no longer have JUB Meets(since they seem to no longer be a site thing).

Those that know me know where I'm located.
 
Sometimes I would like to know what country a Jubber is from because that might make a topic more relevant or indicate a deeper knowledge about some topics, but overall, it's not that important.

Some people just prefer to be private on these things. Not revealing is better than fabricating or lying though.
 
Because when we reveal where we live, you respond to all of our posts with "Fagstaff is boring" or some nonsense like that.
 
There are some unsavory characters here, underwear thieves, and people who will pretend to be your friend just to pee in your shower.
