What's the big plan for the summer?

Hey guy, I've missed you in here! Good to see you back, and well you didn't say a lot about YOUR summer plans but I hope it's something good.

Later this summer I have hopes of taking a trip that could stretch to around five weeks, I'd be mostly in the far West. Hobby festivals on consecutive weekends in Salt Lake City and Boise, with nothing to do inbetween - the perfect opportunity to finally see Zion, Canyonlands, Bruce Canyon, the north rim of the Grand Canyon (well, some or all of these). I'm actually tossing around whether to do that, or go to Burning Man which has been my "holy grail" of unvisited celebrations. I hope to segue into a trip with considerable time in Oregon, probably NOT anything as far north as even Tacoma, and probably some California time as well. Oregon is likely to be the main focus as I've gotten to really enjoy the place, as well as nurturing some cool friendships there. (I am not aware of any of them being gay, outside of a friend in Seaside-Warrenton.)

This would be my second of three substantial trips this year - the first was to Michigan and Ohio in March, and the third I'm trying to mold into a Florida trip late in the year.

Before I would leave on such a trip, if it happens, WORK...WORK...AND MORE WORK.

Visit my ex, and go to Bloodstock Open Air festival. I want to move into a rented house at some point, but easier said than done.

You should see my tan! The plants in the garden are suffering though... A bit of rain once in a while would be nice. Oh well, I'll be chilling on my boat tomorrow with a Canadian mate of mine, so bring on the heat!

Coming back to the actual topic of the thread:
Writing reports; Quick trip to Germany; One or two trips to Prague to meet up with a certain someone; Possibly visit some friends in Bristol (UK); Moving to Shanghai for half a year for work towards the end of August.

Survive my job, start another semester of grad school, and look forward to my vacation in September :-)
