  • Hi Guest - Did you know?
Hot Topics is a Safe for Work (SFW) forum.

What's the farthest north/south/east/west you've been?

I envy you. I've always wanted to drive the Dempster highway. From what I've heard it's a trip that is truly worth taking.

The view is spectacular when you're crossing the Continental Divide while in the Richardson Mountains.

There are no (or very few) trees, only short vegetation and tundra as far as the eye can see, among the mountains. The lack of trees makes the view seem to be all the more massive and expansive. It's one of the rare times I felt less significant than something the size of an ant...I probably should have just smoked one, and gotten high for a while, and just take it all in...

I'm disregarding the International Date Line and basing this on which way I would travel from the U.S. on a plane:

North: Frankfurt, Germany
South and West: Canberra, Australia
East: Sarajevo, Bosnia

North: Nottingham, England
South: Corpus Christie, Texas
East: Dresden, Germany
West: San Francisco, California

Thinking about this makes me miss traveling.

North: Osrillo Ontario Canada
South: Key West Florida
East: The very tip of Cape Cod, Ptown MA
West: Pheonix Scottsdale Az

North: Bergen, Norway
South: the southern tip of New Zealand's South Island
East/West: I've gone to Paris from both directions (from the US and from Australia)
