What's the oldest thing in your fridge?

Nothing lasts very long, my mom comes by like once a week, and she's always got her head in there smellin stuff and throwin things out:eek: . Ya gotta love her :D

A small bottle of champagne which we got when we went to a pantomine in 2000 to celebrate the new millenium.

I think that is the record .... done and dusted.

one of my housemates had a tub of margarine on her shelf in the fridge that expired november last year, so not that bad. I was lucky enough to be the one who discovered it though...and ate some for tea#-o

My sister and female cousin live with me and keep the fridge stocked. Actually, overstocked.
When I get a hunger pang and open the refrigerator door and see everything crammed in there (with no sense of order), I think "Fuck it, just fuck it" and walk away. It would be too much work to move everything to find what I want.
At this rate I just might lose some excess holiday weight.

I think there's a jar of pickles that my Mom bought to make tuna salad with. The last time she was here was July 2005... I'm almost scared to touch the jar to throw it away.

Otherwise the oldest thing is a tub of croissants I bought 1 1/2 weeks ago.

mikey

2005? You sure that thing is still in there? It might have already walked away on it's own. ;)

A bag of onions (god knows since when...) and two bottles of ketchup with a tiny bit left (I have a third, full bottle).

Hey freind.... onions don't go in the fridge..... they are best kept on the counter on in a cool pantry. And never store them in the same room as potatoes...... those two vegetable aren't friends. They spoil each other.

Loose the ketchup bottles man, those with must a few drops. Ketchup is really cheap and you don't need to waste dear time trying to squeeze the last few drops out. :D :D

Pickles don't go bad, darling... you throw them away when the vinegar starts eating through the metal lid (for some entertainment, drop a penny into the jar and start a betting pool on when it will dissolve completely). Or when you can't remember how they got there.

Croissants come in tubs? Really? :D I want some!

I'm not really sure what you would call it. it's bursting out of the container. It's greenish and suzzy. My BF must have put it there b/c I didn't. It just keeps getting bigger or wider.

a cut up dead carcass that has been on the bottom of the freezer for at least two years.

A 3year old, empty tupperware dish, in the freezer in the garage.
