No Animated GIFs What's the point of an avatar?

I feel like citing Shakespeare on this one.

But, because personalities can change, and an avatar can be a reflection of that change, for starters.

And yes, i'm "guilty" of changing my avatar as much as I see fit. Monthly, or every 1000 posts. I also change my signature and signature quote with it. Gives me something to do, and maybe it intrigues someone and annoys someone else. All in a day.

Changing your avatar may be OK for strong personalties like you Bender, Mouf and Seeghers.

But most JUBbers have such hazy, grey personalities that most times I feel as though I'm talking to a ghost-filled room. Like for instance I think there's three Catholic Canadians named Mike, but I'm not sure.

It's fun. Some people use an avatar for easier recognition than just a username. Others enjoy looking at it themselves and change it often. We see our own avatars a lot more than anyone else's (unless you never post) so some of us like variety more than others.

I've been on here long enough that I'm used to looking at usernames, not avatars or signatures, to recognize members.

I would change mine more often but I am lazy. I was looking for a good one of Chaka Khan a while back and then I got sidetracked and forgot about it.....

I had one of Lily Tomlin at one site for years...it is funny how people react to avatars sometimes. I got alot of comments on Lily from people...apparently she has more fans than I ever imagined...I thought there were just a handful of us:confused:

I like showing everyone my crotch, so I guess an avatar should be a form of self expression.

JUST THIS MINUTE, I was looking for your avatar because I like it as well.

In most gifs you can see the start and end of the gif , but I cant find that in yours.

Yes, that's one of the things I like about it, too.

Cheers, M10000

Some of us have multiple personalities.

I often rely upon avatars to identify a poster, especially when I'm scrolling up or down. I identify avatars more easily and quickly than the names.

I'm not interesting enough to change my avatar, and I bet no one would recognize me if I did.
Anyway, I like my avatar... and if I changed it, I wouldn't be able to change it back without making a new one, because I lost the original file due to a hard drive crash.

Right mouse click on your avatar. Pick "save as..." and resave your own pic.

What's the point of displaying an avatar on JUB if you change it more often than you change your underwear?

If changing avatar annoys you, you haven't met WaffleEnchantedSexKittenEuphoriaWhateverNext eh?

You're forgetting Elvin. He used to change his avatar several times a day, and always a picture of himself.
