It hit 96 degrees F yesterday 36 degrees C, and is supposed to be about the same today. It has been very hot lately, hitting 98 on Wednesday and 97 last Saturday, and hitting 95-96 every day in between.
 
It was 99 degrees at the airport, with a 107 degree heat index. In the 66 years or so that I've lived here, I've seen the temp go up to 99 three or four times, but never exceed that. If the current weather patten continues, this may be the year it does that. Gary, I'm afraid we're going to give you a run for your money.
 
Right now it is mostly cloudy, 91 degrees F 33 degrees C, with a heat index of 102 degrees F 39 degrees C. There is is 60% chance of rain and thunderstorms this afternoon.
