What's Wrong With Canada ?

I offer this only for it's humour/interesting factoid value. Based on Populations of the two countries, nothing more.

I'm okay with Canada taking most of the Northeast from America, and Oregon/Washington/Minnesota/Wisconsin. I'd vote for that.

If Texas really ever seceded the US would rival Canada to be the most liberal country in the Western Hemisphere.

Callum,
If you're voting for parts of the US you'd accept -I hope the blue section of NY/PA/OH would be included - I'm in that section, and we're some of the most closely tied to Canada in the country.

Based on the way the map is split out, it's hard to define North East - unless we're not considering New England!

I've heard it said that the Most Favorite time of year, for Floridians, is Spring, when the Northeast "Snowbirds" begin flying back North, with a Canadian under each wing. (o)

O.K.! I know ... :slap:

I happen to LOVE Canadians! (group)

Eh, if Canadians had to, I'd vote to take everything but West Virginia, Kentucky, Tennessee, Missouri, Kansas, New Mexico, Utah, Arizona, Texas, Oklahoma, Arkansas, Louisiana, Mississippi, Alabama, Georgia, South Carolina and Florida.

You can leave out the Dakotas, Idaho, Montana, Wyoming, Virginia, North Carolina, Ohio and Pennsylvania as well.

New Mexico is okay...

Some of those states don't have a lot of people - but a lot of cows, oil, and timber.

I'd want them for their resources. And I want down to North Carolina to have the coast. Plus, I hear it's pretty in the fall.

New York State probably has the best colors without being in an insufferably conservative area.

Carolina has been conservative as of late, but they do have a fairly significant liberal base, too.

The quiet Quebecois? But, my wife's mother's family emigrated down from there!

Oh, wait, you're picking NY UP, so it's a net wash.

They'll certainly give Some an earful!

Louisiana will appreciate it, though. Cajun/Acadian reunion!

Yes I forgot French America was once an enormous territory.

The Midwest still has many French names. Detroit, Duquesne, Eau Claire, Illinois, St. Louis.

We have a few around here, too. (Or, pronunciations that were influenced from back in the 1700's.)

Charlotte - No, it's not what you think. Char-LOTTE
Avon - is not French, but we give it a short A, anyway (Think "hat")

But, many are Haudenosaunee names.

You missed Des Plaines.

Though my travels through Quebec were an Excellent Adventure, and absolutely Beautiful, I still remember those that REFUSED to speak English, or even pretend they understood it, though, through their reactions, actually did follow English. #-o

However, I suppose they had a "point" to make. After all, I was on their turf, and couldn't understand, nor speak, French, yet. ](*,)

Nes pas? (group)

All the more reasons to ... no matter what ...

Keep smilin'!! (*8*)
