I've been pissed off by Verizon, Nextel, Sprint....

Is there *actually* a cell service that you can depend on.... ?

Throwing $200 phone thru window,

I have cingular. It works better in the canyon that I live in than the other carriers...which is not saying much. It is still horrible coverage in the canyon. However, I personally don't care. I like the ability to get away from the phone.

I don't think that any of the carriers are very good. Sorry!

Sasktel, which is a provincially owned telecommunications company.

I'm currently using Rogers Wireless and the signal is horrible. Drops frequently throughout the day depending on which building I'm in.

Virgin. It's really Sprint technology with Virgin customer service. No contract, free phone. A little more expensive, but allows me to dump the service when Apple comes out with their rumored iPod Phone.

**I do NOT trust any of the major carriers, let that be understood!

I too have tried ALL the BIG cell phone carriers and like you I too have NOT been satisfied with any of them; BUT.............

This time around, Verizon Wireless, at least is doing better than any of them in the past!

My family are on the Verizon wireless American Choice Family Plan where ALL your family in the states can talk to one another FREE.........totally FREE with NO roaming charges or anything!!! We ALL love it and use if ALL the time too!!

Let it be known, that if you do ANYTHING outside the plan you have, they ALL will charge you BIG $$$'s in fees to include roaming charges, etc....!!!

So, read your "FINE" print carefully before you sign your life away for ONE or TWO years to the devil!!

Good luck out there cellular dwellers!(*8*) (*8*)

I have cingular and i'm 100% happy. They offer the best devices and rate plans. I had Verizon a long time ago and I got rid of them because they didn't have text messages back then. Then i went to Sprint but they always messed up my bill and charged me wrong and I never got service in my apartment or at my job. I have never had Nextel but my brother does. All of their phones are too big and I hate calling people with Nextel phones because of thet whole "please wait while the nextel customer is being located" lady. My first cell phone back in high school was Voicestream which later became T-Mobile. I don't know how T-Mobile is now but they sucked as Voicestream.

i have telstra here in oz they have the best coverage here i used to have optus who are the cheapest but they tend to cut out more
we also have vodofone and 3 but have used them b4

I have Cingular, i love it when it doesn't ____ __ _____ ____ a d@mn mothe________. It works great and then all of a sudden it ____ ____ ____ ____ ____ like you were never _______ __ ___ _____ _____.

Appearantly it has the most "reliable" network __ ___ _______ but appearantly that doesn't apply __ ______ _ ____.

So if i were you i'd go with ________

i used T-Moble for a while and loved it... right now i have verizon and its so so...i have not had any trouble with them really so *shrug*

I've tried them all and, frankly, they all have their problems. I've been with Cingular the longest and they are the least offensive and fairly reliable. At least I don't get the dropped calls, poor signal and attitude-laden customer service that I received from most of the others. For now, I'll stay with Cingular.

I also tried Verizon, Cingular, Sprint, T-Mobile and they were all bad. Mostly broken up convos. So finally I got rid of it. I have never been so happy. No more calls at weird places, no more text messages.....yayy!!!!

Last week I went to my new employer for my pic for the name badge, and fill out a few more forms for them. They asked for my cell number. I said I have none, they said then you need to get one. I said no. They gave me a weird look, but what are they going to do fire me for not having one?

I have had cingular for years. I tried Sprint for a while and hated it. I still had cingular. Overall, I like cingular the best........they also have the Karshner triplets*|*

what type of network do you guys use mainly in the usa CDMA GSM or 3G?

I hate calling people with Nextel phones because of thet whole "please wait while the nextel customer is being located" lady.

I KNOW !!!!

God, I hate that digital bitch !! :grrr: [-X :grrr:

I can be calling someone across the street... And in the time it takes them
to 'locate the Nextel customer', I can roast a turkey, rotate my tires and just
walk across the F-ing street and talk to them the old fashioned way...

Taking deep breaths,

Dr. Josh:cowboy:

I've had just about all the national carriers, and so far, Cingular has been the best. I've been happy with them. I despised Verizon, T-Mobile had horrible coverage. I won't ever start with Sprint and Nextel...

what type of network do you guys use mainly in the usa CDMA GSM or 3G?

Mixture of both. Most networks have been upgraded to 3G. Verizon and Sprint use CDMA EV-DO (of various revisions) for their 3G and Cingular uses EDGE (and is currently deploying UMTS WCDMA). T-Mobile does not currently have any 3g services in the US and will not until next year. They are just plain GSM/GPRS.

I don't think there is a problem free carrier out there. I had Sprint for seven years, with virtually no problems. I recently changed to Nextel, since I use the direct connect at work freqeuntly. I've heard the horror stories from every carrier that's out there. I'm happy with my service, except for coverage inside my house. But then again everyone whose been over with any service provider has the same problem. I guess it's where I live and the age and construction of the house.

I had T-Mobile in Alabama and I loved it.

canceled my service when I moved to Missouri because they don't have coverage here

Cingular here, too.

Great price, and great service. I travel the whole country, and don't have a problem (unless I don't turn off the ringer, and someone calls me in California at 7:30 a.m. EST. My own stupid fault....)
