What's your BMI?

I wouldn't take a lot of these BMI calculators to heart. Yes, you are extermly underweight for your height, but what the BMI doesn't include is a lot of factors, health and body factors. I would really go to a Doctor or health specialist to really figure out where you belong.

Like I am 6'3 at 230 right now...I am at perfect weight for my body build, cause everyone in my family, or most, are just naturally bulky people, but if I put that into the BMI calculator it says I am very overweight, almost obese.

So just a word of advise, before you takes these numbers to heart, seek a second opinion from a professional.

I'm way too fat. Extremely obese. So no need to state my BMI.

I wouldn't rely to heavily on the BMI... Im 6'4 and 215lbs and it says Im over weight. It doesn't take into account that i have 9% body fat. at 9% body fat im not overweight.

These things are not accurate calculations. They're based on averages, and as we all know, none of us are average. To get an accurate assessment you should see your doctor. I know I got tested more comprehensively, still not the best because I wasnt soaked in a tub, and I was only 9% body fat, and this thing is reading way off that. lol.

5'11" and 175 lbs. 24.4 BMI.

Apparently, I'm .6 pounds away from being overweight! Yet I know for a fact my body fat is around 10.5%, so something's wrong somewhere. I'm nowhere NEAR overweight.

I wouldn't put too much stock in this BMI calculator.

Yep. What others have said about not paying too much attention to BMI.

BMI is used by researchers to study LARGE populations looking for trends with disease and drugs. It's a valid choice for such study because the vast majority of the US population is not very fit. BMI measures your weight (in kg) divided by your height (in meters squared).

If you happen to be in good shape (men with body fat < ~15%) then BMI is meaningless.

I'm 5'6" and weigh 155 lbs with a body fat of ~10%. My BMI is 25 and therefore classified as "overweight." I might be overWEIGHT but I'm definitely not overFAT.

In fact, my eventual goal is to be 8% body fat and get to a BMI of 29!! (which is 180 lbs. at 5'6").:gogirl:

yeah mine is at 27, so i'm fat (actually overweight according to the BMI)

^
5'6"? You're even shorter than me. :luv2:

Lemme see here... You're handsome, modest, witty, aaaaand I don't have to stand on my toes to kiss you???

I'm 5'11", 157 lbs...or, for those of you unfamiliar with that stuff (here in Greece we use cms and kgs !), that's 180cm and 71 kg...

So that's 21.9 . Healthy...

I just bought a fancy scale, so let's see...

Height: 6'6"
Weight: 353lb
BMI: 40.8
Fat: 44%
Water: 40%
