I've got to agree with you there..|

This thread is relighting my love for After Forever, I'd taken a slight break from them... but there is a reason for why they're my favourite band.

This is the song that made me fall in love with them - weird, though, 'cause it's a bit more industrial than their overall sound.

I'll start with the Almighty Lamb of God, Machine Head, Chaimera,Hatebreed, Slipknot, Slayer, Arch Enemy, All Shall Perish, Gorgoroth, Dimmu Borgirl, Pantera, My Ruin, Motorhead (not really metal, but worth a mention) Superjoint Ritual, Down, System of a Down, AC/DC and Black Fuckin Sabbath.

Ensiferum, Epica, After Forever, Finntroll, Metallica, Anthrax, Megadeth, Kamelot, Overkill, Kreator, Ozzy, Dio, Maiden, Priest, Slayer, Suicidal Tendencies, etc.. etc..

I have to say that most of Nightwishes older stuff is quite nice, Diablo Swing Orchestra though is probably one of my favorites. I'm a sucker for avant-garde metal. XD
