The last one I tried that was really good was for fried rice, it tastes almost the same as the Chinese take out places. The trick is to use cold rice from the night before, and light soy sauce, sesame oil and chicken bouillon in a tablespoon of water (I found one that comes already powered)

Today I made chicken with vegetables. The recipe was for chicken with broccoli, but I didn't have any broccoli so I added the veggies I used in the fried rice which are carrots, frozen peas and scallions, it came out very good.

I made a Key Lime Pie that came out much better than expected.

I also recently learned how to make Panna Cotta. It's an easy and elegant dessert.

The last one I've tried was KFC cole slaw. It really tasted pretty damn good.

Got this recipe from a friend - in a glass 6 x 6 pan, layer ice cream sandwiches. Pour about 1/3 cup or so of Kaluha over the sandwiches. Spread a tub of Cool Whip over the ice cream sandwiches and top with minature chocolate chips. Freeze for a few hours and then enjoy! YUMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMM

Last thing I tried was Egg Flower Soup. I thought it was nasty. My mother and aunt said they liked it. I think they were just being nice though. Next time I try making it I will use broth intead of stock. Stock is way too strong for me.

The last new receipt I've tried was for creamed spinach which my sister had from that lady in St. Clair MI who devised taste-alike recipes for commercial food products - don't recall her name, but she sometimes was featured on "Phil Donahue".

24oz. frozen chopped spinach
three 3½" onions
one dozen cloves of garlic

Saute onions and garlic (volume should be greatly reduced), puree it, then make a thick cream sauce with butter and flour, mix that with the puree and partially cooked spinach (which should be squeezed to remove excess liquid). If you have too much celery, sauteed celery puree is also good added to it.

*(sigh) i wish i knew how to cook. i've tried to cook this, but i just can't figure out how to bring the pan of water to a boil...

The last thing I made was Banana Caramel Pie.

Not sure what to make this weekend.
Maybe ANZAC biscuits. I did miss out and not make them for ANZAC day. But as my bf said, "It doesn't have to be ANZAC day to have ANZAC biscuits".

White Corn Chowder. - Family recipe. :)

Best soup ever made anywhere.
