Disappointingly not as cold as feared: 55.4 ºF... although this afternoon it's totally covered. Only the day before yesterday... no, the day before that... was just a bit closer to the temps in The Day After Tomorrow, because that day I had to raise my scarf to cover my nose.

The windy night and early morning were awful, but it has been pretty warm today, cloudlessly sunny, during the day, up to 66 ºF, no need to wear gloves, but now feels rather chilly, even though still around 60 ºF.

You can find some of it in the uptown area, close to the peak of the Tibidabo (1,600 ft.), but it snows rather when there is a clash between hot and cold fronts, out of season, in earlt November or early March, like in 2010 or 1999.
That screwed palm trees all round the city because of the weight and cold of the snow.
In 1985 there was another big one around Epiphany, and that was a front that affected the whole of Spain: whenever the rest of the country is in deep slush, Barcelona and Valencia, the Mediterranean coast, are out of that; and then, of course, the hallmark of Christmas 1962:
In the film Los Tarantos (1963) you can see the unusual sight of BCN under the snow.
