Same as yesterday: comfortably cool to walk in the street, even in the early evening, with just two thin layers of clothing rolled up just below the elbows.

Hazily sunny, overcast, rainy for a few minutes while I was in the storage facility, then wait for the rainy weather that was forecasted for tomorrow.

An hour and a half ago there was a bright flash and then a sound like a jumbo jet crashing -- thunder that went on for three or four seconds.
Just now we had a bright flash and I didn't even finish counting "one" before the boom! This one rattled the windows and doors and sent the dogs scrambling to hide.
After that first one the clouds cut loose, rain so heavy I couldn't see even half a block down the street, then there was a quieter rumble followed by hail.
Sounds like hail again, worse this time, but I'm busy settling dogs down so I can't go look.
I think that was the closest I've been to lightning since a buddy and I dove to the ground in Indiana because we felt static electricity and the lightning bolt demolished a tree not ten yards from us. The flash was like a camera flash right in my face -- I got to see the tree blow up because he was between it and me and I was looking his way.

Like yesterday, perfectly cloudless, sunny blue skies, with same usual highs around 17ºC/63ºF, but chilly lows at 8ºC/47ºF, first two enjoyable days after a week of boring overcast, drizzly, rainy or just uncertain skies.

I started wearing my laced, "winter", Symbols: last trace of summer is definitely gone.
