It finally deluged a little, after three months of draught, for about half an hour or so.

That's as much a change as cloudy or rainy weather 
Just a couple of Celsius lower, (21ºC/70ºF-27ºC-81ºF), but somehow manages to remind of early late summer temperatures.

Weird.
There are three rivers that head up each into its own canyon from where I live. The canyons are no more than ten miles apart at the points of greatest separation. Yet today one of those canyons had occasional showers and a 68° F high, the next canyon south had partly cloudy and a 75° F high, and the next south had mostly sunny with a high of 82° F.
I've seen weather separations like that here before, but the dividing lines are usually the long volcanic capes that stick into the ocean; this watershed thing is strange.

Ah, the breezes blowing right now are so pleasantly fresh, and it is so nice that they make you feel you are located right by the coast, instead of a couple of miles away, with that slight trace of seashore saltiness...
