What's Your Weather Like?

West Palm Beach, Florida USA. It's been hot. Yesterday it went up to 90 degrees, the earliest I think I can remember that. Still hot and dry, 89 today. Weather prediction is for more of the same, though maybe highs down in the mid 80s. The long term weather prediction has us continued warm and dry, which could become a problem. It looks like a good setup for drought, and possibly wildfires in the Everglades and forests during mid and late spring, before the summer rainy season kicks in.

Today was unusually warm for March 1st and it was sunny as well, but tomorrow is going to be much cooler. We did have about 24 hours of rain a couple of days ago.

Well we got everything they promised us.

^ Yeah. When i got up at 5:30 this afternoon, it was 87 degrees outside. ^

What was weird was that I ran a quick errand and found myself wanting to bask in the sunshine. I mean, I'm usually quite content at 80 or 85 degrees, but preferably in the shade and with a breeze. In fact, there was quite a breeze -- and, it turned out, 21% humidity, nearly unheard-of here when it's hot out.

We've been having quite a bit of rain this week, getting about 2 inches yesterday afternoon But it's nothing compared to areas to the south. The Ft. Lauderdale- Hollywood area had lots of flooding, and tornado warnings yesterday. I haven't heard whether any actually touched down, but the flooding was enough to shut down many areas.

West Palm Beach, Florida USA ***Flash Flood Warning***

Thunderstorm Heavy Rain Fog/Mist and Windy, Temperature 69 degrees F 21 degrees C Wind 29 mph gusting to 33 mph.

It has been pouring like crazy for the last hour and a half. The swales in front of my house are flooded. There has also been a lot of lightning and thunder. However, the rain seems to be letting up, so it should be no big deal. However there is an 80% chance of thunderstorms tonight, and a 70% chance tomorrow.

Warm & sunny today pretty much perfect to go out & do a bit of yardwork.

Probably won't see any storms til June .. & even when its summer, we just don't get many here
