Actually in India people usually clean their asses via water anyway and wash it. A lot of countries use water or bidets to clean their asses. Some even have squatting toilets with shower faucets for optimal anal cleansing. Even poor people have ways of using enemas. Enemas were used all over the ancient world if you needed to clean your ass and it wasn't hard to make. You didn't need money or wealth to have anal sex. Just maybe a bottle, wineskin or a good water source.

Also there are many tutorial videos on doucheing. Probably the thing I recommend the most although it takes the longest is the use of the hot water bag.
