When did you realize you're not young anymore?

Well I could say it was when I started losing my hair and some of it started turning grey/salt and pepper, but that started in my early 20's. So I'll call that genetics.

I do hear my joints creaking and popping, but again I've heard that for years, and it's never slowed me down. Even breaking my collarbone a couple years ago while riding my bike hasn't slowed me down any.

I imagine until I hit the point where it DOES physically prevent me from doing the things I enjoy, I'm not going to consider myself old. I'm just a big kid at heart.

when i was talking about road rules: semester at sea and people were all like, "whaaaaa?" even though i didn't watch that during its original run since i was in middle school, i knew about it and eventually watched it five years later. that was when i realized most of the people around me were in elementary school when that show first aired. i didn't know you could feel so old at 23. but then i realized that although i am at the doorstep of old age and creaky joints, at least i have been blessed with the awesome sexiness of yes.

After my son was born, I felt old. I stopped going out and partying. It has been all about being a parent. He is five now. I have heard from my friends that once they get a little older, you feel a little younger and start going out again. Hopefully that is true because age-wise I am still very young.

I'm nearly 49; one of my younger brothers has a 32 year old son ...the realisation that any guy in their early 30s is young enough to be my son tends to make me feel a little old.
