I have never loved those particular labels at all, mainly because of the stereotypes many people associate with them. There are so many more facets of me that don't really fit neatly into any certain positional category or stereotype. Yes, I like what I like sexually, but there's also SOOOOO much more. By taking time to actually get to know each other, position per se is easy to determine -- for me, it's the other aspects that truly determine compatibility. I'm way too complex, so a person's inability or unwillingness to see beyond this particular label is a red flag for me.

To answer the question, when sex is at hand.

For me, that wouldn't ever be soon after meeting anyone. It would be an evolution of a romance developing. And it wouldn't be asked that way. It would be more of "what do you like to do?"

It wouldn't be an issue for me either, as I'd be looking for someone to share my life and love with, not an interlocking part for a sex act. For some, that is a big factor. It isn't for me.

The answer is I would ascertain their position right from the off so as to see if we are a fit in bed. It is no good getting emotionally involved with someone if you are not compatible
