I put my Christmas tree on November 25th.

That way I get the whole month of Christmas.

Usually take it down whenever I can be bothered LOL. But always before the end of Jan.

Don't have a lot of decorations, but I put them up the weekend after Thanksgiving. :santa: :xmas:

I leave them up until the weekend after El Día de los Reyes (The Day of the Kings)... January 6. :king:

Funny you should post this.
I was thinking of doing it this weekend.
We haven't been making a big deal out of anything last few years and I'm starting to feel like life is just passing by.

Early in December, and they're supposed to come down on the 5th January - Twelfth Night.

I won't be in my home for Christmas, but probably I wouldn't decorate it anyways.

When I was a child my mother had to stop my siblings and me or we would start decorating at september.

I don't. Didn't really as a kid either, apart from a small tree.

I get a few gifts and give a few gifts but I don't do much else at Christmas. I only do that because it is what everybody else does.

I don't know why I celebrate Christmas because it really means nothing to me because I'm not a christian/jew/whatever

I normally don't decorate for Christmas.

not doing it this year but usually the weekend of thk'ing & it comes down after the ephiney

we started already. it's been very mild here so we thought we would put our outside lights up. We haven't lit them at night yet, but at least they are up and we didn't freeze our nads off.

We put our tree up a week or ten days prior to Christmas and then take it down in early january. We always get ten or twelve foot trees, so it takes a weekend to put up and then a weekend to take it down. Christmas is my favorite holiday to decorate for.

Due to my busy schedule, I set the tree up last Saturday and will begin decorating it with the lights and ornaments on Thanksgiving morning and will continue to decorate the outside as well as inside the day after. Undecorating takes place the end of February after all the dinner parties are done.

Starting to get things out this weekend. The tree goes up next weekend. Everything comes down the second or third week in January.

The day after Thanksgiving is "Decoration Day." 8 foot tree that you have to touch to realize it isn't real... candles in windows... real wreaths on doors... spotlight on front lawn pointed at front door. I've done some online shopping already and will visit the malls in early December to finish up.

The tree comes down sometime between Christmas and New Years. The candles stay in the windows until Epiphany (Little Christmas). The wreaths stay up all winter... :D

I usually put the tree and decorations up the weekend after Thanksgiving. I used to go out in the woods with my kids and we would cut a fresh tree and had a 9 foot artificial one for the great room upstairs.

It was a tradition with my kids...trudge into the woods of a friend who grows trees and find the perfect one, cut and drag to the car and set up once home. It'd take about a week to decorate the old house; it takes the weekend to decorate my condo in DC.

I usually take the decorations down sometime in January but if I'm traveling, it could slip into February. I'll be in Puerto Rico and Florida in January so it might have to wait....

I love decorating for the seasons...

Putting up X-mas lights are so 90s... j/k

My family used to be all about that until we got tired of being in the freezing cold.

To answer your question, put them up after Thanksgiving (maybe the following week/early December) and take them down a week after New Years.

Usually in the first week of December and leave them up until New Year.

I don't do Christmas in the ghetto, you put something in your lawn and the next morning it will be gone with a note saying "We stule ur cristmus stuff"
