  • Hi Guest - Did you know?

When does one stop being a twink?

more importantly when does one stop having arbitrary, shallow discussions with their boyfriend?

The definition of twink has changed considerably since it came into use in the early 1970s. Back then, it was anyone from the age of 18 to the early 20s. Some of the most famous twinks were quite muscular and well-built and some even had very hairy chests.

Now, twinks are skinny and hairless. It's more of a body description than an age.

It's funny that this question should appear, last night I was looking through some old photo albums.
I found a picture of me at the age of 15, another at 21 and then at around 25... I was a twink in all of them, smooth, slim and some fuzz on my face.
At 35 I saw that I had "filled out" broad shoulders and my chest had grown, I stopped being a twink at 25 or so, we all mature at different rates, some guys never were twinks, they hit puberty and turn into muscle bound hairy guys over night.

When you're aware that you've stopped being boyish and started "doing" boyish, then the game's up. It's basically showbusiness. They say that all singers either retire too young or go on too long, there isn't an exact moment when you can say it's time to stop.

It's how you look. I agree the definition has changed.

Now I think it's a body type. Skinny, hairless, etc. You can be a 30 yo twink in my opinion if you look young.

There is a difference between being called a twink because you appear young and slim and identifying and dressing like a twink. 24 on average is really pushing the twink identity. Men in their 30s who throw around a twink identity are just struggling with reality of adulthood. I like twinks but if some guy throws that label at me because I'm skinny and look 5 years younger than I should, it just gets awkward when I have more hairy legs and chest hair than the guy who sees a twink in me.

I've never really thought much about it, but I have to say I would find it amusing to hear a man over 30 years of age refer to himself as a twink.

I know a lot of people immediately think body type, but I tend to think age and mindset/maturity into the mix as well.

I don't think there's a hard age boundary. As with most things in life, the mileage may vary.

It's more like body type..physical..

you can be immature as you want but if youe build stocky and hairy..then you'll prolly out of twink zone.

I don't know what age a twink isn't a twink but I know some real old HO-HO's and Ding Dongs.

and there are quite a few self described hairy twinks on Chaturbate, and I agree they are.

I believe the most correct term for that body type is "otter", but not everyone is going to call themselves that for a variety of reasons.

When you mature enough to find your own answers to questions instead of always relying on others to tell you what the answers are. IN other words, you'll always be a twink. ;) :p

It shouldn't otter matter, should it?
