Yesterday's London "Times" asked some famous people what, as children, they dreamt of doing when they grew up. Cherie Blair said she wanted to be the first UK woman Prime Minister.:-)

When I was about ten years old I dreamt of being a world-famous saxophonist. I'm now a civil servant.:cool:

What did you dream of becoming?
 
i wanted and still want to be an actor in a movie. but i wouldnt know where to start. (and not a porno haha, maybe a horror film) if anyone knows how i would go about looking into this actually, can you PM me.
 
I have always wanted to be a veterinarian. Unfortunately school isn't my thing.
 
Oh.. I remember being tricked to answer this when I was 12. I had not even seen the world yet...

So, I chose

1. Policeman - Angie Dickinson's effect.
2. Teacher - Don't all gay sons wanna reach out and touch people?
3. Detective - Angie again. Or Charlie's Angels thing.
4. Librarian.

My world rotates around school and tv fantasy.
 
I wanted to be a retired person.

Work has never been so my thing. I have done an awful lot of it. I have some success to show, too.

But I never ever liked any moment of it.

So, yeah, the original plan is still on. (I am half-retired as of this year.)

i wanted to be a fire truck.... That's right... the truck. Boy was I setting myself up for disappointment.
 
I always changed my mind. I recall at various times wanting to be a fireman, a jockey, a rock star, and a pro baseball player. Still enjoy dreaming about those careers from time to time.

I apparently get a three-second close-up in this film. How? A guy I had done some theater work for e-mailed everyone he knew asking for extras, and I responded. Watch for Lexingtion's debut as "aghast prairie-dogging office worker". My big break? Nah, don't think I'll do it again, but it was fun to do once.

I used to always dream that one day I would be an interior designer (that's what watching Changing Rooms does to you!). After realising that I wasn't that good at art I've gone through phases when I wanted to become a doctor, a vet, a forensic scientist, a lawyer... now I just have no idea at all.

btw what do you do as a civil servant? It sounds really cool and powerful but noone really knows what you actually do!
 
1.Lawyer.
Then,
2.Swimmer.
Later on,
3.Biotechnologist.
After that,
4.Nutritionist.
Then,
5.Chef.
at last,
6.Business Consultant.
After This,
7.International Speaker.
Last,
8.Philosopher.
 
yea I didnt know what I wanted to be until college and even now I dont know what I want. When I started college I wanted to be a Physical Therapist, massage therapist, translater, and now I'm trying for a buisness degree so I can open up a craft and jewelry store but who knows I'll probly change it in the future tho
 
I'm dead serious about this. When I was 10, I wanted to be a porn star. lol. I can still remember telling my friends this. I have since grown out of that dream. My path involves art. But it's possible I still may have some involvement in pornography since I might get into erotic drawings. I have already made sketches for different porn stars as presents, so that's a step in the right direction.
 
Medical counselor/Youth advisor...I think I just made those up.
 
I have phases of going through many many different choices for this.

Famous rock star would be nice. Still, of course, possible, but it's not altogether that likely.
 
in THOSE days and times, i said i wanted to be un cientifico - a scientist. that was a big word at the beginning of the 1950s. now, it is much too general. i hope what i still am in the process of becoming is a decent moral guy -

So did I! (!) I used to have fantasies about what I would do all day long if I didn't have school or work. IIRC it was something about going to the movies every afternoon and eating a lot of fresh-roasted peanuts (we had a Planter's Peanuts store in my hometown whose aroma was irresistible).
 
i've always wanted to be something involved with art ... but as i grew older ... i got confused as to what i really wanted to be ... so now after changing my major in college a few times (and having a few headaches) ... i am now doing a business major and i'm really liking it ...
