I'll be honest - I think it's one of Phil Spector's messiest jobs. Instead of the wall of sound, it sounds like they're playing inside a room six feet square with a hundred foot walls. That might be just because Ike produced everything else they did, and Ike's idea of "well-produced" meant "remembering to hit record". It's amazing Tina could be heard at all. :)

Ok maybe I'm a sucker for congo solos. The breakdown in Temptation's "Cloud Nine" does the same thing to me. And Nikka Costa's "Funkier Than A Mosquito's Tweeter." Ok sue me I have a thing for congo solos! Handcuff me to the headboard for Pete's sake! !oops!
