When is the last time you helped a stranger?

i saved a worm to, a guy was chocking it and i gave it mouth to mouth suction till it got all well
 
Today I needed groceries so was at the store and three of the guys that work at a shelter I help out at were there shopping for Christmas food parcels, I've made it through another year more or less intact so I filled a trolly with non perishables and bought them for the Shelter to give out at Christmas. None of us knows what our future holds so I like to pay it forward when I can just in case I need that assistance down the line.

On Saturday I left a $50 tip for the waitress at the Mexican restaurant that me and my kid go to all the time. It was on a $45 tab. The kid asked why I did it and I told her that I wanted to try and cheer up the waitress a little bit. She seemed to be unhappy this Saturday.

over-tipping is a super-convenient easy way to help someone, seeing as how they make like $2/hour ](*,) I usually overtip unless they just don't put any effort in whatsoever. this is a good one, I bet you made her night. :gogirl:

Peeled off some bills for someone who is likely going to use them for booze instead of food...but maybe they'll get some food.
 
A young mother and her two ankle-biters were ahead of me at the checkout today and she just about burst into tears when she realized she was $20 short, I could tell she was trying real hard to work out what to put back, and a quick look at her groceries told me they were all necessities, not a luxury in sight so I told the checkout operator to add her shortfall to my bill.
 
The OP promised to tell us what favor he had done for someone but never did. Perhaps he promised he'd tell us prior to actually having done the favor, and then neglected to do the favor.

Earlier today I helped an older woman who was struggling to fill up her automobile gas tank to do so. I also told her how lovely she looked in her yellow and pink sweater, which I think pleased her more than the help I gave her at the pump.
