  • Hi Guest - Did you know?

When Old People Play Young.

To answer an earlier question:

There is a subset of the leather/bear scene that uses the son/daddy terminology.

The "sons" are usually 30+-45 and the "daddies" in their 50s or 60s.

It's not my scene, but, if they enjoy it, more power to them.

antodoll, you might be better off focusing more on your own issues and less time making fun of things you don't understand.

But I do agree that middle-aged and older men seem sad when they mimic the culture of people less than half their age. Being young at heart is fine. Acting like a frat boy at 45 is just asking for people to laugh at you behind your back.

well maybe it's okay for North American culture to call someone your daddy and then find them sexually attractive and sleep with them...

maybe it's just a difference of understanding the terms, but for me I see it as a perverted term to call your lover...

I don't understand why would someone want to call their sexual object or lover or whatever by "daddy"...

but that's just me.

They aren't thinking of them as their "fathers" or their biological sons.

It's simply a term of endearment and a way of identifying the age range of the people they're attracted to.

Refer to my post #23 where I say that this thread is not about older people embracing life and keeping a young spirit, which I love and encourage, but rather the perverted aspect of "pretending" to be young, online.

what disturbs me , is that even when I put it in the simpler words, some people, and I emphisize some people, misunderstand me and take my words out of context.

but that's okay, I will always re-explain myself till my point has gotten across :)

this post is not solely directed to you Marley, but to others who misinterperted what I wrote.

that's what I thought you were talking about, and it seems sketchy to me, too. I thought it was interesting that so many people didn't think that was what you were talking about.

i
another example is seeing a 40 year old woman dressed like a 17 year old... with skanky clothes and tons of makeup on...

unless you're some kind of artist or performer etc...(like Madonna) who would do it because that's your job...

I just Madonna in video in her underwear and she looked great. I cannot believe she is 50! I hope I look half that good when I am 50. I will be very proud and tell everyone my age.

Ya'll are just giving antidoll some shit now, knowing that when he gets in deep, he has trouble explaining himself without getting in deeper.

To recap the main issue: Old posers = bad.
Young at heart = okay.

Now might be a good time to move along.

there's a big difference between someone agreeing with me and someone understanding me.

you say that you understand English perfectly, yet you put those two in one sentence, comparing them one to the other.

I insist that someone must be stupid for not understanding me after explaining myself a million time. yes.

do I think someone is stupid because they do not agree with me? No.

do you not find it weird that , for some reason, some people seem to understand what the hell I'm talking about, but you don't?

I'll tell you why. because you take conclusions, assumptions of "why" I'm saying this. and you try to relate it to the aspects that I presented of myself before.

you're judging my words based on what you think of me, not based on the words themselves.

just remember, what you think of me, might not be the truth. it is only a thought in your brain.

Actually, antidoll, and I don't say this to be mean, but you are now using my post as a way to show that marley doesn't get you, when it was actually intended to simplify your argument because YOU get yourself in a place where your communications start to fall apart.

You're better off when you just state your simple opinion, wait to see if someone agrees, and then say "Ah, I agree." As soon as you start to elaborate in your own special way, all hell often breaks loose.

I mean that in a very caring, not-bashing-you sort of way.

And the hat. Only a gay would play dress up with an already appropriately attired hottie.

And how do you know I was the one who put the Santa hat on Daniel's head?

(It really was me. I just want to know how you knew?)

Because contrary to what you believe sometimes, you ARE noticed.

and appreciated.

Thanks.

But, if I was really card-carrying gay, I'd be using my Paint Shop Pro to take clothes off Michael Shanks rather than to be using it to put more clothes on him.

Call me weird, but I could easily make all the fakes of Daniel/Michael that I want, but they wouldn't do a thing for me. For one thing, I'd know they were fake bodies. For another, my imagination can do a much better job of seeing him naked.

Thanks.

Bingo. I would rather see a sexy photo of a dressed/partially dressed man than a fake nude one any day.

I wonder, Antidoll, how you think you will act when you are 50?
Inquiring minds want to know.

Yeah, I still think I had an excellent point about keeping it simple and not elaborating.

This is the point where Pete should come in and sing...

Let a real clown sing. Sorry Pete, don't take it personally.

is it disturbing when a 35+ man plays the role (in a forum, online game, chat) of a young or teenager boy?

I don't insult people without being insulted first, I am not condescending (and frankly I have no idea where that came from)

Perhaps it came from you insulting all the 35+ members of JUB who pretend they're not as old as they really are.

Even without intending to do so, you did.

(Not an accusation - merely an explanation.)

One should never assume that only one person doesn't get you online.

It just means that person is the only one who either cares enough or is annoyed enough to continue pursuing the conversation.

The rest just move on, and become less likely to engage in the future.
