I'll be the first to admit - I get a LOT more comments than I send. This isn't because I'm anti-social or anything. But that's just not the avenue I use. I'll almost always comment in the thread. If I have something to say specifically to one poster, I'll send a PM. The only time I'll comment is if I want to say something about a particular post, ONLY to the poster, and it's been a while since the post was made...

I always forget to check my comments for like a year, then I look and find that someone said something really interesting and reply-worthy to a post that neither one of us even remembers anymore. I wish there was something that notified of new comments, like PMs, hint hint. Not necessarily an alert to pop up, just a thing that said, 'you have new comments, click here to see the damn things, asshole', cuz I do get forgetful. Cuz I'm old and smoke a lot of pot, so i need all the help I can get.

Facebook? I fuckin' hate Facebook every time I check in I'm reminded of how little I care what restaurant my friends in ____________ went to or who they saw there.

I wish it were that interesting. I've got Facebook up right now, and my co-worker is at a concert posting "OMG - now they're playing (song)!" with a link to a photo. Apparently, he's no longer attending the concert - he's "documenting" it. For who, I have no idea.

I just "hid" him. Bye.

I was thinking more about the comments one posts in a thread, but that's a good point.

Don't really care. Not all my posts are to be commented. As for Facebook, my statuses are too bland to pertain someone's attention more than 5 quick seconds.

Rather, I love commenting people.

Every time I see friends in person, they tell me how they love my food pictures.

Maybe they're lying?

There is so much funny stuff, snide comments, news stories about gay issues, high school non-friends that turned out to be hot gay friends later in life...

God, I am just addicted to FB.

But I do have a life, I swear!

i do think its nice to know that there are people on my friends list who do read my, and i do appreciate when they comment, but its not necessary for them to comment.
