when was the last time you lied to your parents?

Last time would be this morning. She asked if I was hungover and I said no :D

I don't lie to my mother...

My father died when I was a child -- and my mother deserves NO LESS than the truth -- even if it is NOT what she wants to hear...

She is an incredible lady and...

I still go to her for advice...

I told my parents yesterday everything was chugging along nicely and my packing was going along just fine... it wasn't.

No point telling them the truth, they can't do anything and will just worry.
 
I lie to my parents but most of the time its for their own good like if you don't want them to worry much
 
Today..if I want to have a decent sex life..it's basically necessary...
 
I can't recall the last time exactly. Most of the 'lying' I do to my parents is by omission. I don't associate with my father at all, but my mother is very open, understanding and trustworthy. We have the type of relationship where I needn't fear her reaction to what ever I tell her. There are things that don't warrant full disclosure, of course, and in such circumstances I will either let it be known that it's not something I wish to discuss, or omit any amendments to the assumptions she makes and leave it at that.
 
The last time? 10 hours ago (which for me is last night). The time before that? 22 hours ago. Pretty much whenever I'm on the phone with them.
I talk to them everyday, I'm in college living 180km from home. I'm too far to live with them and too close to diminish contact.
I didn't use to lie to them before I came out, because I figured, "If I'm lying to them about this everyday, I might as well tell them the full truth about everything else." So when I came out, those shackles went off. And now I don't feel guilty lying to them anymore :) Only scared that they'll find out, every time I lie xD
 
Friday. Told them I had something important to do but I was really hanging out with this really cute guy.

I sometimes lie to them without really realizing it because its easier to lie than tell the truth and explain or whatever.

It's for their own good when I lie. Seriously.

Not sure exactly. For the most part my lies are in the form of omission because I kind of feel like they don't really need to know everything. Honestly, after you find out something you didn't want to know, you can't exactly un-know it. It's to keep them from worrying in the end.
