  • Hi Guest - Did you know?
Hot Topics is a Safe for Work (SFW) forum.

When was the last time you weeped?

2012, Les Miserables, Fantine death scene. 3 drops of tears. That's all.

I almost never weep. Sometimes I wish I could more often, but my heart is apparently a mossy stone.

I don't remember the last time that I cried. It is rare. Not so long ago I tripped and fell and a feeling came over me like when a child falls and cries even though they haven't hurt themselves. I didn't cry but was so surprised that I would feel that way at my age. I am more likely to cry when I am happy rather than when I am sad.

Weeping and crying: two different things.

^^ Exactly: I messep up the morphology, not the choice of terms

I was leading the singing at a Veteran's Day service on Sunday. When I mentioned the last song we would sing, "God Bless America", my voice cracked and I held back my tears. I seeing before my eyes the greatest generation passing on. Hearing the names of those who have gone and seeing their great Commander now. Very touching service of which I am proud to participate in each year.

Wanting to kill people is a normal part of modern life.

You get to walk for a living? I think it sounds lovely. Have they put you in some sort of uniform or otherwise curtailed your appearance?

As a temp worker I only got a jerkin. It´s going back in January.

Where do you think the expression "going postal" came from? We're not going to read about you in the papers, are we, Harke baby?

Don´t have the courage.

I can't think the last time I have actually wept since June 27th 2003.

I have teared up a bit on a few occasions, but not a good cathartic cry.

she and her husband were pregnant.

I knelt by his bed and wept tears of happiness for us and the great gift of our son.
They were BOTH pregnant?

Wonderful tears, indeed.

I'm not afraid to cry, but will quickly say that happy tears are more common. "Sad tears" can come from seeing cruelty, of feeling a friend's misery, etc.

However, it is very rare that I will cry because something "bad or sad" has happened to me...

I estimate I cry 8 to 10 times a year, and probably one-half of that can be from video/movies or such.

I really liked an ex friend of mines we had a good friendship amazing sex and all the jazz. I thought we was close to dating and come to find out he was messing around with some older lady. I had a terrible gut feeling, when i confronted him about it and he told me i broke down crying. We tried to become friends again it wasn't the same i ended the friendship and he ended up dating the lady.

^^ "Ended up dating the lady", to keep the show going, we may suppose...

So that is where the real Heidi ended up after the body snatchers replaced her
