As a mod, we occasionally get requests from members to amend their text if the alloted 20 minute window of editing has passed. We always comment in the reasoning for the change.
Other changes include the removal of material in a post that is offensive that breaches the rules for posting in the Code of Conduct (say picture of underaged people, or nudity in the HT forum) are amended with commentary.
We also remove personal information like phone numbers, email addresses and such if they appear in any of the forums for the safety and security of the user involved and a reason is posted in the posting why. Often this occurs with newbies unfamiliar with our posting rules...
