I usually respond--

The only ones I don't are the "Hey, how you doin, lets meet-up," ones from guys I don't know or have any interaction with.
 
99% of the time I don't respond. I feel bad about it sometimes, but I hate being forced into responding most of the time. I like just responding to threads if I feel like it. I'm not really looking to make any great friends on this site either, so for my purposes, just posting publicly on the forum is fine.
 
I respond when the request is a simple invitation to chat, with, no thank you.

When I receive yet another neurotic rant, I decline to reply.

I do most of the time. Not all PMs need to be returned, of course - if so, everytime you sent one, you'd be stuck in an endless cycle of returning them to each other. :) But for first-timers, yeah, I generally do.

it's polite to respond when someone takes the time to write u a private message. so, i respond to all of them.
 
I almost always respond, unless I really don't have anything to say (not even a 'thanks' or ':)'). I do, however, have trouble answering immediately. PMs have been known to sit in my inbox for up to a week before I get around to answering them. It's an 'I'll do it later' thing. I feel like a bastard for it, but yah... can't help it. So if I don't answer your PM, even though you've seen me post: it's not you, it's me.

But I forget sometimes. If I read it right as I am about to do something chances are I will completely forget about it and it will sit forever >.>

I am not good with PMS.

Not many people here are good with PMS. I'm willing to be that it's part of the reason many of us are sticking with guys. :p
 
I don't get that many but I do reply if there is something interesting said. I don't like ones where people are just asking to chat/meet up :(

I send way more than I receive.

I always do, even if just to acknowledge it. I figure it's common courtesy, and if it's someone new and possibly interesting to chat with there may be more than just the one pm.

Nothing ventured, nothing gained I suppose.
