When you get a PM...

Yeah, I'd pretty much reply. I always like to get to know people out of context and as individuals. But I kind of don't assume that just because someone PM'ed me, does it mean that they want to have an ongoing conversation with me. So if someone PM's me or comments on a post, I'll only reply if it seems from their comment as if they want to converse. They have to make it obvious, because I'm thick sometimes.

I just hope that everyone assumes the best of me, that if they wrote something nice to me it made me smile, that if they sent me a smile or a little joke, I laughed and enjoyed it, and if they congratulated me for something I said, I'm grateful. Even if I don't say anything in reply.

I like getting them, and I mean to reply, but sometimes I can't think of anything to say just then and think I'll come back to it later and I never do. I feel awful about it!

I try to repsond to every single PM I receive.. it'd only be a rare occasion if I didn't reply (which actually happened a week-or-so ago), but I made up for it, with a fresh PM, lol!

Likewise I don't get all that many PM's, so it's not a big "burden" for me to reply to all of them. Possibly I've missed the boat on a few, but even when it's a more rhetorical PM which doesn't necessarily need a reply, I still tend to answer.

AND likewise, I'm rather conservative on sending PM's to others. I don't do it all that often, and there's usually a relevant reason for me to send them.

In more than three years of being in JUB, I haven't even sent 200 PM's.

Some of you always respond? Really? How does the convo ever end then? And, how do you respond when someone sends a PM that doesn't really require you to write anything back. Like a PM that thanks you for a comment you left them, or a PM that just states the members opinion, or just shares information.

For as much as I sort of fussed and made of fun it all, I do miss the funny requests for sex. Before the gender labels, I frequently received PMs where "bottoms" wanted me to shove my huge dick into their hot hole, or tie them up and dominate them. At the time it was annoying b/c I would literally wind up in a debate about whether or not I'm truly female (apparently my aggressive personality didn't match up w/ their ideal of a lady). I always responded to those PMs just to clear it up.

I still get a few goofy ones from the straight, semi-straight, bi, curious, questioning guys, but they aren't as creative or interesting.

If someone takes the time to send a PM, I will always respond our of courtesy. Plus there are many things that are more suitable for PM's or direct conversation anyway than just posting on public threads.

i rarely receive a PM....

there areonly a very few people with whom i've exchanged more than one or two...

i do, however, try to respond if a response is warranted... i actually sometimes hace a "conversation" this way..

i'm a likeable guy and i think most JUBbers are, too, so i'd respond at least once....
