Republicans are not better looking then democrats. Don't even make me post pictures. The republicans... especially certain female ones, seem to love early 1990 era haircuts... *cough* Sarah, Witchlady and Michelle *cough*

While I can see why people would think the president was attractive, those ears are not cute.

Can you find any other ones?

And I would prefer if people didn't post pictures of ugly Republicans, because I know they exist, just like ugly Democrats. I'm not saying anyone has, I'm simply saying I'd prefer that the thread doesn't go in that direction.

I think there are very few out attractive politicians in either party really. Obama is really the only one that comes to mind.

Sorry, when I think Dem politicos, I think Donna Shalala, Janet Reno, Madeleine Albright, Bill Richardson, Al (boring) Gore, Henry Waxman, etc..

One problem re: finding hot Democrats is that so many were tossed out in 2008. The VERY OLD ones remain in office. Someone ought to do the math, maybe they have already, but I'd guess that the D's are at least 20 maybe 30 years older than the R's.

Y'all just aren't looking hard enough. There are plenty out there.

The truth is, it takes years to rise on the national scene, and too many guys define good looking as young.

I remember Clinton's Housing and Urban Development Secretary, the first hispanic to be elected to a major city as mayor, the Honorable Henry Cisneros, of San Antonio, TX.

He was derailed by an extramarital affair, else he'd be a larger figure today on the national scene. This pic is older, as he is more senior now, but he was extremely handsome in his days as mayor.

I must admit that overall, I've been more attracted to Republican politicians (SOLELY ON APPEARANCE) than Democrats. A lot of them just seem to have the general 'look' that I like. It's very conflicting...

And I feel ashamed for it.

First off, of course you're more attracted to Republicans, haha! We both have similar tastes.

In the House there is the hunky Jesse Jackson, Jr.:

He's running for the Senate, which is good because they're in even worse shape.

There's Michael Bennett (Junior senator from Colorado) who looks okay:

And Kirsten Gillibrand looks pretty good, and has some nice cougar energy going:

It could just be that they are the two youngest, though.

I'm trying to think of my local officials, but there are so few Democrats in office in Florida, and most of them are old scions of heavily gerrymandered majority-minority districts and have been there for 30 years.

Our first openly gay county commissioner (elected 2008 ), Kevin Beckner, is pretty handsome, though:

I totally understand that hot is in the eye of the beholder. Trust me. But that doesn't mean that we might not have some common ground.

As far as me being lazy, yeah, I probably was. I did a quick google search, which provided nothing fruitful.

When I tried to think of hot Democrats off the top of my head, no one came up.

When I tried to do the same thing with Republicans, I could think of at least think of a few.

Anyway, this is just meant to be a fun, light thread.

Gavin Newsom, Lt Gov of California and former mayor of San Francisco, may be good looking but he's about 1/64" deep, if that. An empty suit if there ever was one. Antonio Villaraigosa, the equally good looking Democratic mayor of Los Angeles and one-time gubernatorial hopeful is even worse. John Perez, the Assembly Speaker and one of the most important and powerful Democrats in California is fat, ugly, openly gay and thoroughly corrupt.
