mike did have hiv but he also had a herion problem. he was cleaned for awhile but he slipped and overdosed and passed away.

I think it's a reflection of where the gay porn industry has gone. The seventies, eighties, and nineties offered a chance to build a name and career recognition. The movies were run in porn theaters and then sold in stores or through the mail. What is it today? 20-minute clips on a website full of almost nameless guys who are sometimes here today and gone (from the business) tomorrow (Sean Cody/Corbin Fisher). Faceless dudes who jerk off for the webcam. Anonymous boys who are "experimenting" (Broke Straight Boys). Longevity is the key to notoriety, popularity, and "fame". Today it's just instantaneous gratification (no pun intended).
 
Looking through some of this stuff led me to learn that Paul Carrigan had a son who passed away. He includes photos with his son on his social media page. It's very weird to see his photos with a teenage son next to his porn career photos.

All very doubtful. Most of the AIDS deaths have been documented with obits. Manchester escorted on and off into the 2000s (with ads and semi-recent looking pics) and was frequently scene in hustlery places like Polk St in SF during the 90s. People on various boards have seen him in the last decade. Looking a little haggard but still like Eric Manchester. Usually identified as gay, sometimes bi.

This will sound odd but back in the 90's I had a small obsession with Paul Morgan. He was a cute little versatile actor who worked everywhere under 4 different names and the 'retired'. I always wondered what happened to him.

Wow, I was surprised to see the name Randy Page. Randy was one of my favorites from way back in the day. Randy, to my surprise, showed up one weekend dancing at The Gaiety Theater in New York. He looked as young as he did in all of his videos.

I would add the name Marc Wallace who did a whole lot of straight porn but he did one gay video in which he bottomed.
