The Eaton family owns Bell-Globemedia? First I've heard of that.

it's owned by baton broadcasting

isn't that owned by the eatons family

did a bit of research. the eatons did have partial ownership along with the bassets (they're the family i associate with baton) and some other. eaton used to have 53%. couldn't find any info on whether or not they still have that much or anything at all. this is what the canadian encyclopedia website says:

Baton Broadcasting Incorporated, a diversified Canadian communications company, was for many years 53% owned by the Eaton family (T. EATON COMPANY LTD.) through ******** Corporation Ltd. In 1997 Baton took control of the CTV network, and in 1998 Eaton's sold its assets, estimated at $450 million. In December 1998 Baton changed its name to CTV Inc. Currently, Ivan Fecan is president and CEO.

I think it went away a looong time ago, for most people anyway.

Have we quoted Voltaire yet? "Le sens commun n'est pas si commun"/"Common sense is not so common"..
