Where did you meet your best friend(s)

I met most of them in high school, a couple in high school. A couple of them I knew in high school, but wasn't very close with until after high school.

I have two best friends, one guy and one girl. I met both of them in first grade.

The guy I've been best friends with since pretty much the moment we met. We've always seen the world very similarly and we recognized that all the way back when I was 5 and he was 6. Interestingly, we also look very much alike, enough so that people almost always assume we're brothers, which, aside from being genetically unrelated, is very accurate. Incredible guy, really. I couldn't have asked for a better friend/brother.

My female best friend I also met in first grade, but we weren't that close until several years after that. After first grade we were reunited in 7th grade, where we became good but not best friends. After that we didn't see much of each other until 11th grade when we had several classes together. Because we were seeing so much of each other we talked more and more and discovered that we were essentially male/female versions of each other. At the time I was also good friends with her then boyfriend. Ultimately, some serious drama went on with that, involving what her bf thought was some insane, movie quality love triangle (he wasn't aware I was gay at the time so he believed mine and her closeness to be something very different than it was), he ended up cheating on her to spite what he thought happened while she was battling stage 3 lymphoma because he's horribly selfish (he's turned out to be a complete asshole in the end), she broke up with him, and I stuck around by her side through all of it. And now we've decided that we're beyond male/female versions of each other, now being more like two halves of the same person. Love that girl and would do absolutely anything in the world for her. :)

And then there are the guys I've met here. :luv:

That's a really cute picture. You kind of remind me of someone I just can't figure out who.

After I moved I lost all my childhood friends. Though in highschool I met a guy who became a friend and more ;). Then I met my girl friend who is just bestest thing in the world <3.

I met my best friend junior year of high school. We had parenting class together as well as band. I believe we sat by each other on the first day of parenting and just started talking about band class. During our year in parenting we had to take home simulation babies and her and I got ours on the same day so we told everyone they were twins and we took pictures with them and made birth certificates for them.

One day we had a conversation about which elementary schools we attended and found out that not only did we attend the same elementary school in 2nd grade, but we were also in the same class.

She was also the first person I came out too, and I'm one of the first people she introduced to the girls she dates (she's a lesbian).

Of my current friends it's all over the place...

-High school
-College
-Craigslist
-Grindr
-Out at the bar
-Apartment neighbor

I met my best friend my very first day of college. 20 years and counting. :)

I don't really have a best friend at the moment, but I'm looking forward to finding someone I connect with.

I would like to be your friend. I consider myself a nice guy, so maybe someday you could consider me your best friend. (*8*)

On topic:

I only have 3 best friends. I met the first one in the 6th grade. We had the same schedule. The second one I met randomly walking around an area where my other friends live. He would come over my house everyday and leave his things then we would go hang out with our friends. The third one I met at a park. We haven't really talked much because he moved, but I still consider him one of my best friends.

Let's see...

Best Friend #1 was the first guy I met after I left Florida to move to Maryland. I met him on March 24, 1988 and have been going strong as the Dichotomy Duo ever since. You'd have to see us together to really get that.

Best Friend #2 I met in volleyball class (yes, we had a class devoted to each major sport in our school) my sophomore year of high school (1990). We've just recently reconnected after not being within 500 miles of each other in the past 10 years.

Best Friend #3 I met in AP European History class. I was a junior and he was a senior (1991). We both hated the class and the douchebag teacher. Neither of us still can figure out how I passed that class since I was never there, constantly argued with the teacher on general principle and didn't care enough about the class to pay attention.

Ahh...the memories. Needless to say, I'm probably the most loyal friend on the planet once you get inside my heart. These three guys have and I don't think they could do anything at this point to make me turn my back on them.

By "best" friend I'm going with those I've kept in contact with the most and those I call/talk to the most.
